Gojo Satoru: The Strongest Sorcerer

Gojo Satoru is universally regarded as the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer of the modern era. He inherited both the Limitless technique and the Six Eyes — a combination that occurs once in several generations — and chose to spend his unmatched power not eliminating threats, but reforming the system that created them.

The Six Eyes and Limitless

The Gojo clan's hereditary technique, Limitless, grants near-perfect control over space at an atomic level. Its passive application — Infinity — creates an infinite series of convergent values between the user and any incoming object, slowing it asymptotically to a complete halt before it can make contact. In practice this means that without a Domain Expansion or a Binding Vow-level restriction, nothing can physically touch Gojo.

The Six Eyes are a separate hereditary ability that enhances Limitless to an almost supernatural degree. They allow Gojo to perceive cursed energy with microscopic precision, calculate Infinity's mathematics in real time with virtually no personal cost, and sense threats from enormous distances. The combination of Limitless and Six Eyes together is what earns him the title of "the strongest" — either ability alone would make him exceptional, but together they produce a combatant with no apparent ceiling.

Red, Blue, and Hollow Purple

Blue is the lapse application of Limitless: Gojo compresses space in front of him, creating an attraction force that pulls anything in its path toward the focal point. Red is the reversal application: using Reverse Cursed Technique on Limitless produces an expansion force that violently repels everything in its path. Both are capable of city-block-level destruction when used without restraint.

Hollow Purple is produced by converging Red and Blue simultaneously — the positive and negative, expansion and attraction, colliding at a single point. The resulting technique erases everything along its path: not by cutting or burning, but by deleting the space those objects occupied. Hollow Purple is Gojo's most destructive move and the one he holds back most aggressively in battles near populated areas.

Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void

Gojo's Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void, traps the target inside a conceptual space where they receive infinite sensory input simultaneously. Information about everything pours into the target's mind — every sensation, every thought, every stimulus — all at once and all equally. The brain, unable to process the infinite, shuts down. The target is left effectively catatonic.

The strength of Unlimited Void is that it does not need to land a physical hit; the guaranteed-hit effect of any domain handles that. Even a fraction of a second inside Unlimited Void is enough to disable most opponents for hours. Against Sukuna — whose mental fortitude and cursed energy output approach Gojo's own — the match is the most evenly contested in the series.

Why He Became a Teacher

Gojo could have spent his career hunting curses alone. As the strongest sorcerer alive, he is effectively irreplaceable on the battlefield. But he made a deliberate choice to teach at Jujutsu High because he understood a structural truth: the jujutsu establishment is governed by old families invested in maintaining their power, and the only way to change the system is to fill it with people who are both strong enough and enlightened enough to challenge it.

His students — Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara in particular — are not just talented fighters. They are, in Gojo's long-term plan, the nucleus of a new generation that will inherit a reformed world. His early death at Sukuna's hands forces that plan to unfold without its architect, which is precisely what makes the second half of the series so uncertain.
